Receive a behind-the-scenes look at what’s involved with planning and executing a successful national event by serving as an NLC Conference Management Intern. NLC Conference Management Interns will support our Director of Strategic Programs & Experiences and team throughout the BPA National Leadership Conference by providing assistance with conference and events management, execution, communication and administrative support. This is an outstanding opportunity for a student who is interested in learning more about non-profit conferences, as well as event planning and coordination. The internship offers exciting hands-on experience and the opportunity to gain new skills. Serving as a Conference Management Intern will open up networking opportunities at the conference through interaction with alumni, national partners, Host Committee members, hotel and convention center staff, as well as BPA students and advisors from other states. Interns will work daily with the Director of Strategic Programs & Experiences to plan and execute  events in relation to NLC.

Interns must be available to work/cover a series of events throughout NLC including but not limited to:

• Opening General Session
• Competitive Events
• Exhibitor Showcase
• Annual Business Meeting(s)
• Campaign Rallies and Caucuses
• Special Partner-sponsored events
• Awards Program(s)
• BPA Day of Service / Walk for Special Olympics / BPA Special Event

Do you consider yourself creative? Do you know how to tell a story or visually capture an event? If so, the NLC Marketing Communications Internship might be for you! NLC Marketing Communications Interns will provide support and assistance to National Staff by serving as a general photographer, blogger and social media correspondent for the National Leadership Conference. Capture and highlight the people, places and events taking place throughout the week in an effort to successfully document and promote NLC. Photographs and communications will be used in a variety of ways throughout the conference including promotion through official National Social Media platforms, partner and sponsor recognition, future marketing materials and website use. Interns must be available to work/cover a series of events throughout NLC.

Marketing Communications Interns will receive a behind the scenes look at what is involved with marketing and promoting a successful national event. Serving as a Marketing Communications Intern will open up networking opportunities at the conference through interaction with alumni, national partners, as well as BPA students and advisors from other states. Interns will work daily with the Membership & Marketing Coordinator and other national staff and Host Committee members to create, produce and deliver event marketing promotions and help deliver successful events and activities where assigned throughout the National Leadership Conference. Experience taking photos with digital technology and previous writing experience are considered a plus.

The official behind the scenes videographers and photographers serve a very important role at the National Leadership Conference. It is the job of this team of interns to take pictures and video that will be used on the National BPA website as well as in future promotional and marketing materials. Wherever you are, you have the unique opportunity to capture the amazing moments of NLC. Interns filling these roles will be taking pictures of everything, everywhere and everyone. NLC Videographers and Photographers will have a detailed understanding of the conference schedule to make sure every exciting moment is captured at NLC.

Interns should have access to a DSLR camera and/or video camera of their own and must be available to work/cover a series of events throughout NLC including but not limited to:

• Certification Labs
• National Showcase and Business Panel
• BPA Day of Service / Texas Hoedown
