The Board of Trustees and Corporate members of Business Professionals of America are continuously evaluating how we can assist in making sure that our organization continues to not only sustain itself, but thrive so that it is able to provide the same programs, services and opportunities to future generations of BPA members.

The financial information included within this annual publication does not tell the whole story of Business Professionals of America — the story of how BPA’s programs affect and change the lives of people, including tomorrow’s business professionals. What the information does show is an income and expense summary budget.

In 2018, Business Professionals of America achieved recognition of a Gold Level GuideStar Nonprofit Profile Seal of Transparency and is currently working to obtain the Platinum Level recognition offered by GuideStar, the world’s largest source of nonprofit information. BPA is proud to have achieved the Gold Level Seal of Transparency in 2019 and again in 2020.

Through the disclosure of information and metrics that highlight the progress Business Professionals of America is making toward its mission, the organization is helping donors move beyond one-dimensional methods of nonprofit evaluation when considering support.

By updating our GuideStar Nonprofit Profile to the Gold Level, BPA can now easily share a wealth of up-to-date organizational metrics with current and future supporters as well as GuideStar’s vast online audience, which includes donors, grantmakers, our colleagues and peers and the media. To reach the Gold Level, BPA added extensive information to its Nonprofit Profile on GuideStar: basic contact and organizational information; in-depth financial information; qualitative information about goals, strategies, and capabilities; and quantitative information about results and progress toward its mission.

In taking the time to provide this information, Business Professionals of America has demonstrated its commitment to transparency and to giving donors and funders meaningful information and data to evaluate our organization’s programs, services and efforts.
