Throughout the fall, winter and early spring, Business Professionals of America regions and State Associations hold conferences for leadership development, competitions, awards, elections and more.
A culmination of work and accomplishment through the year, the National Leadership Conference (NLC) brings together a diverse group of the best and brightest from across the country to compete in demonstrations of their business and technological acumen, develop their professional and leadership skills, network with professionals and each other from across the nation, and get involved with the betterment of their community through volunteer service projects.

The BPA Torch Awards Program frames and guides an individual BPA member’s leadership and service to their chapter and community. This program recognizes outstanding, actively involved student members on the local, regional, state and national levels.

BPA Cares is a program coordinated at the national level that shines a light on and recognizes local chapters and members who participate in community service through BPA. With BPA Cares you can help develop your students by providing them amazing opportunities to learn through service and community involvement.

Business Professionals of America Executive Officers represent the BPA student members from across the globe. Executive Officers serve a one-year term and are elected each year during the organization’s National Leadership Conference. Known collectively as the “Executive Council”, they represent the national organization at various conferences and meetings throughout the nation during their term of office.
The Business Professionals of America Board of Trustees is the primary governing body for the organization. The make-up of the Board consists of a talented group of educators, organization and community leaders and professionals that are dedicated to the Mission and Vision of our organization.
The State Association Advisory Council (SAAC)serves as a liaison between State Associations, Board of Trustees and National Staff of Business Professionals of America. The Council promotes the Mission, Vision and goals of the national organization and provides input to the BPA Board of Trustees and National Staff regarding national programs and activities affecting State Associations.
The Classroom Educators Advisory Council (CEAC) serves as a liaison between Business Professionals of America advisors and its Board of Trustees. CEAC's purpose is to promote the objectives of the Business Professionals of America programs, establish and monitor effective Workplace Skills Assessment Program (WSAP) competitive events, serve as a clearinghouse for suggested improvements and changes pertaining to competitive events and ensure that their State Association is informed of currently adopted Workplace Skills Assessment Program guidelines.
The purpose of the National Business Advisory Council (NBAC) is to offer insight and guidance on the future of business and industry in order to assist with the development of programs that offer real-world experience for BPA students. The membership of NBAC consists of representatives from various segments of the business community.
The National Staff of Business Professionals of America is made up of a diverse group of professionals with a wide range of expertise in nonprofit and association management, member services management, program development and evaluation, partnership development, financial management, communications strategies, event management, organizational strategy and more. Together, we aim to provide responsive programs and services of the highest quality to the internal and external partners of our organization.
