    CONSENT TO SERVE

By checking the box below and submitting this form, I agree to allow my name to be submitted to the corporate membership of Business Professionals of America for possible election to the Board of Trustees for a 3-year term beginning May 11, 2025 and ending at the close of the 2028 National Leadership Conference.

If I am elected to the Board of Trustees, I agree to do the following:
    1. Attend all regular Board of Trustees meetings and special meetings, including electronic meetings, as may be required. Regular board meetings are scheduled for three to four days in mid-July and during the National Leadership Conference (post-national conference and prior to the Annual Corporate Meeting).
    2. Enter into full discussion and participate in policy decisions that are in the best interest of the national association and eliminate local, state, and personal biases as factors in my decision-making as a member of the Board.
    3. Engage and participate in all electronic communication discussions and meetings conducted by the Board of Trustees as needed.
    4. Maintain the confidence of all Board members and the association.
    5. Accept the responsibility for committee assignments and special projects during my term.
    6. Offer suggestions on possible association programs or operational improvements.
    7. To positively promote Business Professionals of America in the business and education communities.
    8. Maintain confidentiality regarding whatever information the association desires to keep confidential and that it treats as confidential. The obligation to maintain confidentiality continues indefinitely, not just until the board member’s position expires or is terminated.
    9. Work collaboratively, and in good faith, with all national staff, other Board members, and constituent groups including students, advisors, business partners, and local and state BPA leaders and educational administrators.
