Business Professionals of America Welcomes New Director of Technology Integration

Business Professionals of America, Inc. (BPA) would like to announce the recent hiring of Patrick W. Schultz to the organization’s National Center staff as the Director of Technology Integration.

In this newly created position, Schultz will steward the growth and development of the technology and education departments for BPA. He will also have the opportunity to lead the formation of new strategic partnerships, drive creation of new programs and technology initiatives and oversee all technical aspects of the organization, assuring that the educational priorities are met using an active and practical approach.

Schultz comes to the organization with 10 years of experience engineering, marketing and supporting technology solutions for schools, businesses and organizations across the country. He is also no stranger to Business Professionals of America, having a long-standing history of service as a Michigan BPA Local Chapter Advisor, member of the National BPA Classroom Educators Advisory Council (CEAC) for six years, and most recently completed a three-year term of service on the National BPA Board of Trustees where he held the position of Chair for the 2017-2018 membership year.

In addition to working on the integration and advancement of BPA’s technology initiatives, Schultz will work collaboratively with the organization’s Director of Education to assure the development, auditing, implementation, distribution and assessment of the Workplace Skills Assessment Program (WSAP) and Virtual Events are completed consistently. His focus will be to move the organization’s contests and overall technology forward, all while understanding, embracing, and honoring the history of BPA.

Schultz holds various technology certifications through Microsoft and COMPTIA, and is the founder of JPS Innovations LLC; a company which specializes in Software Engineering, Website and Mobile Application development, as well as the co-founder of the Michigan Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (MICE). In his new role with Business Professionals of America, he brings a steady balance of both technological and educational experience having served as an Emerging Technologies Instructor, Technology Integration Specialist, and former educational instructor.
