State Officer Candidate Deadlines
  • February 6, 2026 --Officer Election Packet due by 11:59pm CST

  • February 9 – February 13, 2026--Test will be administered

  • February 15, 2026--Interviews will be conducted

  • February 20, 2026--Candidates notified if they proceed to Section 2

  • February 27, 2026--Speeches due for approval by at 11:59pm CST

  • March 6, 2026--Candidate Speeches and Campaign Rally at SLC

  • March 8, 2026--Officer Installation during Associate/Secondary/Post-Secondary Awards Session
 Executive Council Candidate Deadlines **NOTE: Officer Candidates will run to represent Texas as a candidate
  • February 6, 2026--Officer Election Packet due by 11:59pm CST

  • February 9-13, 2026--Test will be administered

  • February 14, 2026--All Executive Council Candidates information posted online

  • February 17-19, 2026--Online Voting Portal will be open

  • February 21, 2026--Executive Council Candidate Election Results Announced

  • Officers will work with State Advisor to submit National paperwork for approval and final submissions before March 1 deadline.

  • March 6, 2026--Meet the Candidate Speeches and Campaign Rally at SLC

Regional President:

Regional President candidates will campaign and be elected during their Regional Leadership Conferences in January.  Deadlines and procedures will vary by Region. Information will be distributed by your Regional Advisor. Your duties will include attending officer training, leading your Regional Leadership Conference and assisting the Regional Advisor, representing your Region and working with the Texas Leadership Team, engaging with the membership via social media, assisting with the Fall Leadership Conferences, State Leadership Conference, and representing Texas as a voting delegate at the National Leadership Conference.  (Eligibility: Freshman-Junior)

State Officer:

State Officer candidates will complete the process as outlined in the Office Handbook and will campaign to be elected during the State Leadership Conference. Deadlines will be posted.  Your duties will include attending officer training, representing all members of Texas BPA and working with the Texas Leadership Team, assisting with the Fall Leadership Conferences, creating and delivering presentations throughout the year at conferences and events, engaging with the membership via social media, hosting the State Leadership Conference and events and representing Texas as a voting delegate at the National Leadership Conference. (Eligibility: Freshman-Junior, Associate members may run for Associate Vice President)

Executive Council Officer:

In order to represent Texas at the National level on the Executive Council, candidates will complete the process as outlined in the Office Handbook and will campaign to be elected before the State Leadership Conference. Once elected to represent Texas, you will then campaign at the National Leadership Conference to be elected to serve on the Executive Council. If elected as a member of the Executive Council, you will be working with the National Executive Council Coordinator, the National Staff and the National Board of Trustees to represent all members of BPA. Texas is proud to have had many talented Executive Council Officers throughout the years. This is a serious undertaking that will take a lot of time and dedication. Please ensure that you have the time needed to devote to this worthy undertaking. Eligibility: Freshman-Senior (Secondary) Post Secondary (all levels)
