Meet the Candidates
State Officer Candidates
Meet the candidates that are running to represent YOU and serve Texas BPA on our Leadership Team.

Ines Andrade
As a Texas BPA officer, I would work on expanding the social media presence of the Texas BPA Officer team and the Texas BPA organization as a whole. As a member, I’ve noticed how difficult it is to know if you’re preparing for an event in the right way. By having a stronger presence on social media, the officer team could be a resource for members, especially new members, to prepare for their competitions and feel confident in their preparation and abilities. Having officer q&a’s and posts highlighting resources already available would be a way to help members succeed.

Dylan Brinkkoeter
I am applying for Texas BPA State President because I believe leadership is built through action, trust, and consistency. BPA has pushed me to step forward, speak up, and grow beyond what I thought I was capable of. I want to represent members who may feel unsure of themselves but still show up ready to work. As State President, I would focus on strengthening member engagement, supporting local chapters, and making BPA feel accessible to everyone. I lead by listening, following through, and holding myself to a high standard. Texas BPA deserves leadership that truly cares.

Alexandra Bui
Every masterpiece begins with a truly unique perspective. I’m Alexandra Bui, and I believe professionalism is an art form. While BPA provides the canvas, we must refine the craft. Just as a curator selects the finest works to tell a story, I will assist you in curating a portfolio of skills that lasts a lifetime. As your State Officer, I’ll amplify our diverse range of talents through intentional social media spotlights and modernized networking opportunities. Let’s design a year that showcases the absolute best of the great state of Texas! Join me in curating a brighter future with BPA!

Parin Chanana
My goal as a BPA State Officer is to strengthen membership by expanding recruitment and increasing engagement. I have seen how early exposure creates a stronger foundation for continued participation within BPA. I will introduce “BPA Bridge,” an initiative focused on guiding middle school chapter formation, providing an advisor support toolkit, and supporting student recruitment. To sustain involvement as students enter high-school, I will establish career guest-speaker panels and job-shadowing opportunities that connect competitive skills to real-world interests. Together, drawing from my experience as BPA Chapter Executive Vice-President, I am eager to grow Texas BPA in both size and strength.

Shalom Colmenero
As an outgoing Regional President, I learned that strengthening a large organization requires supporting individual member growth first. During my term, I supported my region’s members by organizing our Fall Leadership Conference, which featured student-led workshops made for members to network, develop their skills, and learn about the many resources BPA offers. If elected, I am committed to continuing to support members across Texas through year-round programs, virtual workshops, and online resources accessible to all. There is an abundance of potential in Texas BPA, and my goal is to equip each member with the resources they need to shine. The future of Texas BPA is bright!

Austin Cooper
I am running for state office in Business Professionals of America because I am committed to serving others and strengthening our organization. As a former Regional President, I developed strong leadership skills while representing members and guiding teams toward success. I am a servant leader who believes leadership means listening, supporting others, and putting the needs of the organization first. What separates me from others is my ability to contribute successful and unique ideas while turning them into action. Through many leadership roles, I have consistently worked to increase engagement, collaboration, and positive outcomes for BPA members across the state.

Davin Iglesias
BPA stands out from the six other extracurriculars I’m involved in because it uniquely balances personal growth with an engaging and professional environment. It has shown me that career preparation doesn’t have to come at the expense of enjoyment, rather, both can coexist and enhance each other. If elected as state officer, I would aim to strengthen this balance by fostering opportunities for leadership, collaboration, and innovation while ensuring BPA maintains the same dynamic and supportive space for all members. I am committed to upholding the values of excellence and engagement that make BPA such an extraordinary organization.

Vachi Kasera
Curiosity is the refusal to accept complexity at face value. It’s what carried me from BPA
conferences to hospital clinics. As a state-certified CNA, I see how ethics shape patient care and how policies shape lives in debates. BPA turned that curiosity into impact, raising $34,000 and earning 4th at the Texas SLC. As your Texas State Officer, I will launch “Blazers & Beyond,” connecting BPA chapters with STEM, arts, and health clubs, so 100s members build theater budgets and 500s pioneer social media marketing campaigns. The BPA blazer marks the start, but our skills extend beyond the hanger.

Luna Narvaez
As a State Officer Candidate, I am more than honored to have the opportunity to present my capabilities. My goal as a state officer is to help Business Professionals of America, Texas Association S.H.I.N.E . Some ideas I have are conducting SHINE Sessions–monthly office hours where anyone in Texas BPA could express inquiries–and a member spotlight program. For this position, the qualities I bring are great communication, initiative, teamwork, and organization. I am here to make BPA SHINE.

Aliyaan Noorani
If elected, I will boost both engagement and opportunity within Texas BPA through two primary initiatives. First, I will launch region based career focused summits, where students will both network with and gain guidance from real world professionals in their fields of interest, creating a direct pathway to career development. I will also implement catered event portals, in which students will connect with officers and experienced members in a certain event to gain guidance in how to effectively conduct their project, thus leading them to success. These programs will empower Business Professionals of America, inspiring members to Go the Distance!

I will launch a Student-Led Social Media Team giving members hands-on digital marketing experience. Together, we will build a future where Texas BPA members are not competitors, but a connected community preparing for lasting success.

Jordyn Roschetzky
I want to be a BPA state officer because I enjoy building teams and helping students feel
confident. FFA and 4-H taught me to lead through service, set clear goals, and stay calm under pressure at contests and shows. I will bring that work ethic to BPA by supporting chapters, sharing competition prep ideas, and celebrating every member’s growth. I want to connect students from rural and urban schools, increase participation through outreach, and expand community service projects. I will represent BPA with professionalism, energy, and integrity, and I will always keep student voices at the center of every decision.

Luxmi Visaharan
Over the past three years, BPA has shown me how accessible resources and clear communication can empower us to achieve individual growth and professional success. My leadership goals stem from a deep understanding of the BPA community and a personal commitment to each member’s journey. I want to make BPA an inclusive and memorable experience for all members, starting with STAR– Support, Tools, Access, and Reach. If elected, my goals are to support each chapter, provide tools to prepare for leadership and competition, expand access to opportunities throughout our regions, and help every member reach for the stars.

Kelly Wu
If elected, I will serve as a steady compass for BPA Texas by guiding the organization toward stronger community-wide impact. I aim to launch a statewide community service initiative, beckoning chapters to engage in individualized local projects specific to their community, such as promoting financial-literacy. I also plan to strengthen collaboration between virtual and in-person chapters through integrated socials and shared service opportunities. Additionally, I hope to develop a centralized, accessible hub for BPA study resources to support members across all chapters. Through inclusive leadership, clear communication, and resource development, I will help BPA grow as a unified, service-driven community.

Driven by a passion for aiding BPA members, I am excited to join the BPA officer team. My time as President of my local chapter allowed me to highlight the importance of opening opportunities for all. Through my strong advocacy, I helped my school develop an Associate’s chapter. Additionally, through our competition workshops and active communication, our chapter had over 80% of our competitors advance to BPA Texas’ State this year. I believe that joining the BPA Texas officer team will allow me to provide more opportunities like these for members across the state.
