Our National Officers
Business Professionals of America National Officers represent the BPA student members from across the country. National officers serve a one-year term and are elected each year during the organization’s National Leadership Conference.
National Officers are known collectively as the “Executive Council” and represent the national organization at various conferences and meetings throughout the nation during their term of office. In addition, they may make recommendations to the Board of Trustees as well as to the members of their divisions. National Officers also oversee all meetings at the National Leadership Conference.
Structure: The Secondary Division Executive Council is composed of six (6) officers and the Post-secondary Division Executive Council is composed of four (4) officers.

Emily White is proud to be serving as this year’s Secondary Division National President. During her year of service, she looks forward to working with the National Officer Team as they set goals to reflect the ideas of the membership. Coming from a small town in Idaho, this year marks Emily’s fifth year of BPA involvement emphasizing her big impact on the organization. Outside of her involvement in BPA, Emily is a frozen-yogurt enthusiast, Star Wars fanatic and an avid snow skier. Although she is attending school at Boise State University, home of the “Blue Turf,” BPA blue will always be her favorite color!

National Vice President
Rhyan Goodman is excited to serve as this year’s National BPA Vice President for the Secondary Division. Rhyan is a senior at Tolles Career & Technical Center in the Marketing & Logistics program, as well as an active member of many organizations such as BPA, Student Council, Key Club, NTHS, Quick Recall and Marching Band. Throughout his life, Rhyan has dedicated hundreds of hours of community service to the State of Ohio and his local community. In his future, Rhyan aims to obtain a degree in Public Relations and one day serve as the Vice President of the United States of America. Rhyan is most looking forward to the impact and influence he will be able to make in the lives of BPA members this year throughout his service term.

Kaleb Amofa is a junior at Colerain High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he is involved with basketball, tennis and football. After he graduates high school, Kaleb plans to attend a 4-year university and major in finance. Kaleb is excited to be serving as the National BPA Secondary Treasurer where his goals are to fulfill the initiatives he spoke about during his campaign, such as building the connection between all levels of the organization from Middle Level to Alumni. 2018-2019 membership year was Kaleb’s first year in BPA, and the passion he now has for the organization “is indescribable”. Kaleb is looking forward to giving back and meeting new people throughout his term and hopes he is able to introduce BPA to the thousands of students “who don’t currently have the chance to experience how great our organization is.”

Aliah Mir is a senior at Heritage High School in Frisco, Texas, where she lives with her parents, two siblings, and cat. Aliah is very passionate about business entrepreneurship, which led her to becoming the CEO of her own company and gaining a patent over her product. In addition, she is proud to have been a Girl Scout for the past 12 years, which has heavily influenced her life as it caused her to be immensely involved in her community. Aliah loves volunteering at community events, planning youth activities and working with local charity foundations. In her free time, Aliah enjoys playing basketball and soccer, as well as doing art, especially with her younger sister. Aliah is looking forward to serving as the 2019-2020 National BPA Secondary Secretary for the opportunity to connect with BPA members all over the country and to be able to make a difference on a national scale. “BPA is an essential part of my life and influencing all our members would be an honor.”

Janna Neyenhaus is a former Indiana BPA State Officer and is currently a freshman at Ball State University majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She has a passion for volunteering, and loves to be involved in many student and community organizations. Janna was born and raised in a small town, but her dreams and aspirations are big and she is a true believer that those crazy enough to believe they can change the world are the ones that do. Janna is looking forward to serving as the National BPA Secondary Parliamentarian and connecting with BPA members from around the nation throughout her service term. She is also “beyond excited to help plan the 2020 National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.”

Kyle Bennett is a freshman at Rollins College where he will be pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Political Science. From Longwood, Florida, Kyle continuously strives to make the world a better place, one tiny bit at a time. He aspires to improve the lives of people around the globe through the innovative use of 21st Century technology. Kyle is looking forward to serving as the National BPA Secondary Historian and to ensuring that the thousands of BPA students across the country are able to achieve their full potential. “I am excited to be given the opportunity to work on behalf of all of the members of our organization to create positive and lasting experiences for them.”

Cassandra Lindo is a 1st year Master’s student from Dartmouth, Massachusetts, pursuing a degree in Secondary Education after completing her bachelor’s in Management Information Systems in May 2019. She is honored to be serving as the 2019-2020 National Post-secondary President. Cassandra enjoys playing music, spending time with family and friends, playing volleyball and snowboarding. Currently, she works as a real estate agent and information technology specialist, but hopes to work as a high school business and computer science teacher in the future. During her year of service as a National Officer, Cassandra is looking forward to playing a role in creating amazing opportunities and an unforgettable experience for our members.

National Vice President
Teren Smith is a 5-year member of Business Professionals of America and is excited to represent the organization as the 2019-2020 National Post-secondary Vice President. He began his collegiate career attending the University of Kentucky for his freshman year and is excited to transfer his sophomore year to Purdue University. Teren will continue his studies in Political Science and Business Law, with the passion of becoming an intellectual property attorney and one day becoming the first African American Vice President of the United States. Teren is looking forward to serving the membership this year and his goal for BPA is to help prepare students for the global workforce and business world.

National Officer Winter Meeting
The National Officer Winter Meeting is held annually in January. Secondary and Post-secondary members of the National Officer Team meet to review goal progress and plan for the National Leadership Conference. The 2019 National Officer Winter Meeting was held in Anaheim, CA from January 2-7, 2019.
National Officer Summer Meeting
The National Officer Summer Training is held annually during the month of June or July. Newly elected national officer team members from the Secondary and Post-secondary Divisions meet under the direction of the National Center Staff to train for their respective positions and goal-set for the upcoming membership year. The 2019-2020 National Officer Summer Training will take place in Columbus, OH. (dates TBD)
