A compassionate and dedicated educator, mentor and friend, Gabby was such a caring and loving soul. We loved working with her through Business Professionals of America and her passion for sharing opportunities with her students. She always had a smile, a solution, a great idea, and way to make something fun and engaging for our students. She has left a legacy with her students and changed many lives by giving them skills, confidence and by believing in them, loving them, and showing them that they can do more and be more. Area 2 Region 3 has dedicated a memorial scholarship on her behalf for her dedication to our students and organization.&nbsp;<\/h5><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x-section e2162-e14 m1o2-0 m1o2-3 m1o2-4 m1o2-6 m1o2-7\"><div class=\"x-bg\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class=\"x-bg-layer-lower-image\" data-x-element-bg-layer=\"{&quot;parallaxSize&quot;:&quot;150%&quot;,&quot;parallaxDir&quot;:&quot;h&quot;,&quot;parallaxRev&quot;:false}\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x-container max width e2162-e15 m1o2-9\"><\/div><div class=\"x-row x-container max width e2162-e16 m1o2-c m1o2-d m1o2-f m1o2-j\"><div class=\"x-row-inner\"><div class=\"x-col e2162-e17 m1o2-l\"><h2  class=\"h-custom-headline h2 accent\" style=\"color: hsl(0, 0%, 15%);margin-top:0px;\"><span>Guidelines &amp; Regulations<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"x-text x-text-headline e2162-e19 m1o2-o\"><div class=\"x-text-content\"><div class=\"x-text-content-text\"><h1 class=\"x-text-content-text-primary\">The selection of candidates is done on a competitive basis.&nbsp; The criteria used in selecting scholarship recipients will include:\n<ul>\n<li>Academic achievement<\/li>\n<li>SAT or ACT scores<\/li>\n<li>Number of business courses or related instruction<\/li>\n<li>BPA membership (participation and achievement)<\/li>\n<li>Letter of Recommendation<\/li>\n<li>Personal Statement<\/li>\n<li>Technical Merit<\/li>\n<li>In-person Interview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nCompleted applications must be submitted by using the form below by <strong>6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025.<\/strong> &nbsp;You will receive a confirmation email shortly after you submit your scholarship application. If no confirmation is received, please contact your chapter advisor so that they may reach out to the Regional Advisor. Upon evaluating the applicants, the Regional Advisor will score the applicants based on the attached<strong> <span style=\"color: #034591\"><a style=\"color: #034591\" href=\"https:\/\/bpa.org\/a2r3\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2024\/10\/Scholarship-Evaluation-Sheet.pdf\">rubric<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.&nbsp; The Regional Advisor will compile scores and the top three (3) candidates will move on to the interview process. <strong>Interview finalists will be notified through their Chapter Advisors by the Regional Advisor<\/strong>. Award notification and Scholarship check will be announced at the BPA Regional Leadership Conference Awards Ceremony.The recipient will be determined by the Area 2 Region 3 Scholarship Committee.<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x-col e2162-e20 m1o2-l\"><h2  class=\"h-custom-headline h2 accent\" style=\"color: hsl(0, 0%, 15%);margin-top:0px;\"><span>Eligibility &amp; Requirements<\/span><\/h2><div class=\"x-text x-text-headline e2162-e22 m1o2-o\"><div class=\"x-text-content\"><div class=\"x-text-content-text\"><h1 class=\"x-text-content-text-primary\">To be eligible to apply for an Area 2 Region 3 BPA Scholarship, an applicant must:\n<ul>\n<li>Be an active member of the Texas BPA Association in Area 2 Region 3 for the current year.<\/li>\n<li>Be a graduating high school senior\/junior (2025-2026)<\/li>\n<li>Score at least 1200 on the SAT or at least 20 on the ACT.<\/li>\n<li>Current class rank must be in top 50% of your graduating class.<\/li>\n<li>Submit the most current Area 2 Region 3 Scholarship Application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nThe Area 2 Region 3 BPA Scholarship Applicant must submit the following application packet below by <strong>6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025.<\/strong>Please ensure that the following have been included in your application package.\n<ul>\n<li>Completed Area 2 Region 3 BPA Scholarship Application Form.<\/li>\n<li>High School Transcript.
